Clos de Lôm Malvasía

This delicious Malvasia wine shows a bright greenish yellow colour. It has a high intensity aroma that reminds of ripe fruits; such as red apple, peach, lychee with a floral background of orange blossom. It tastes of ripe fruits, with good structure, noted for its freshness, balanced acidity and a long and tasty finish.

Clos de Lorn Malvasia is ideal to pair with seafood, all kind of rices, thai food, grilled fish and seafood cocktail. Perfect to drink on any occasion, as a refreshing aperitif or as an accompaniment to varied tapas.

The grapes for this wine are sourced from own vineyards grown accord ng to trad itional growing criteria in a balanced, caring and sustainable way. The vineyards' soils, poor in organic substances, carry great importance; hence enables full terroir expression. After rigorous ripeness testing, by the technical team of the winery, which determines the optimal phenolic maturity of the grapes and start the harvest. In this vintage, Malvasia was harvested during the first week of September.

Wine production

The harvest is received in the winery and processed quickly with the latest technology. The bunches of grapes are destemmed, crushed and macerated in a continuous homogenizer and separate the must with a Decanter system. Then the must cool down to 10-12°C to prevent the beginning of fermentation. Later it fermented, with own selection of yeasts, only the clean part of the must at 16°C temperature during more than three weeks in slow fermentation, to extract maximum aromatic power and richness of nuances in the mouth.

Maturation

After this last fermentation the wine and lees keep together in suspension for more than 4 months to get more complexity and volume of tastes.
