La Maragata
The Maragata, despite its age, has a bright lemon-yellow colour with no hint of evolutionary colours. At first sip, citrus fruits emerge on the nose, as well as toasted hazelnuts that show us the ageing in the barrel. As soon as it breathes a little in the glass, its intensity increases, ripe fruits emerge, peach, dried apricots, pineapple and the wood nuances fade away until they are hidden behind the fruit. In the mouth it is unique, pure smoothness and silky sensation on entry into the mouth, flowing to the end with volume and structure. Ordered throughout its journey, the balance, aroma, sweetness and acidity give us a tremendously pleasant sensation throughout. It concludes with a pleasant acidity, which persists and becomes more pronounced as the wine tempers in the glass, giving us a fresh sensation that seduces us to take another sip from the glass. After so much time sheltered from the air, discovering and following with curiosity how La Maragata, a wine for ageing, evolves from uncorking to the end of the bottle is almost a duty, if not a recommendation for any wine lover….

La Maragata comes from a high-altitude vineyard, at 720 metres above sea level, located in the foothills of the Montes Aquilianos. An impressive mountain formation framed within the Montes de León unit, located in the southeast of the Berciana Region. Its peaks exceed 2,100m.Wine production
The Godello grapes are harvested at an advanced level of ripeness that favours varietal aromas and sugar concentration. The grapes are pressed without stemming, with hardly any maceration with the skins. The clean must ferments in wood at a temperature of 20-22 degrees in new oak barrels.Maturation
During the first months of ageing in barrels, the lees are put into suspension every 15 days and after a total of 12 months of ageing, the wine is bottled.Color
