Marta Mate Viñas del Lago

Bright violet color with a medium-to-high depth. The nose offers notes of red fruit along with aromas of violets and other white flowers; spicy touches and a clear mineral background. The palate is vibrant due to its balanced acidity and freshness. Good structure on the palate with tasty fruit and spicy nuances that leave a soft aftertaste.

Region

In Tubilla del Lago, 24 vineyards between 80 and 120 years old with unique geomorphological and climatic conditions, influenced by the Sierra de Cervera mountain range and located on slopes overlooking the Gromejón River. Yields of between 3,000 and 4,000 kg/ha, grown on different soil types: clay, sand, and limestone from well-drained moorlands, always at altitudes above 900 m.

Wine production

Grape selection from the vineyard and hand-picking into boxes. Early harvest and careful 8-day maceration to preserve and enhance the grape's original characteristics in the winery. Wine with very low sulfite content.

Maturation

Aged for 12 months in barrels (90% French oak and 10% American oak). Blending and final maturation in concrete. Bottled without cold stabilization. Production: 14,500 75cl bottles and 300 magnum bottles.
