Muscat duck pâté is a crushed paste in which the main ingredient is meat, which has been subjected to heat and pressure treatment to obtain a preserve.

The main ingredient of pâté is duck meat, and the main difference with other foie gras products is the amount of fatty liver, foie, that is incorporated in its preparation. In this case duck pâtés incorporate a percentage of less than 25%.

Use tips

The crushed (emulsified) duck meat-based pasta can be spread on bread, or made in original presentations in cubes or small balls that are very attractive.

Remove the pâté from the refrigerator and keep it at room temperature for between 5 and 20 minutes before tasting it to appreciate all its qualities.

To consume canned pâté, it is best to open the two lids and, pushing one of them, extract all the contents onto a plate.

Once opened, cut into thin slices. To do this, use a very sharp knife, previously soaked in hot water. You can also use a lyre to cut cheese or butter. Serve on toasted bread that will serve as a “support” for the pâté you are coming to taste.
