Blancher

In 1935 Antonio Capdevila Pujol and his wife Teresa Blancher Solanes acquire property in the estate and Masia Can Canjon in the municipality of Teia (Barcelona), located in the Maresme, very typical area of white wines, including in the Alella DO and cava, in order to realize one of his dreams, produce their own wines and champagnes. Antonio Capdevila was a close friend with the winemaker Angel Escude, which advised him to make the first steps.

First they changed the farm, to build terraces in seven different levels, eliminating the slopes and perform agricultural work with more comfort.

When the first strains began to bear fruit, developed the first cava rested for many years in the cellar of the farmhouse Can Canjon, built in 1848. Its success, and continuous visits to the capital of cava, where he befriended the Planas family (wine growers and dealers bulk wine since the late 1800s and first processors of wine alcohol bottling pharmacies) prompted him to build cavas Blancher, which stood at the center of the capital of cava Sant Sadurní.
